CRISTINA ESPERANZA
After living, training, and working in Madrid, London, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires, she is currently based between Buenos Aires and Madrid.
With over two decades of experience in professional photography, she has specialized in portraiture, fashion, and reportage, collaborating with record labels, advertising agencies, and editorial media.
In parallel, she has developed a strong presence as a fine art photographer, with exhibitions held at institutions such as the Cárcova Museum and the Museum of Natural Sciences in Buenos Aires.
From 2016 to 2019, she was the creator and co-editor of two books on contemporary Argentine art and photography, published by Planeta Argentina.
Between 2017 and 2018, she conducted curatorial research at the National University of the Arts (UNA) on the Spanish artist Santiago Sierra.
CRISTINA ESPERANZA
Se ha especializado en fotografía de retrato, moda y reportaje, colaborando con la industria discográfica, agencias de publicidad, así como medios editoriales y revistas tanto nacionales como internacionales.
Ha retratado a destacadas figuras del ámbito cultural, político, musical y deportivo, entre ellas Fito Páez, Charly García, Andrés Calamaro, Andy Chango, Ariel Rot, Niña Pastori, El Cigala, Ketama, la vicepresidenta española María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, la ministra de Vivienda Beatriz Corredor, la princesa noruega Mette-Marit, los científicos Margarita Salas y Eduard Punset, y los escritores Ana María Matute y Luis Goytisolo, entre otros.
Sus proyectos más recientes han sido expuestos en el Museo de la Cárcova y el Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Buenos Aires.
Entre 2016 y 2019 fue creadora y editora de la colección Icónica, publicada por Planeta Argentina, dedicada al arte y la fotografía contemporánea en Argentina.
Además, imparte talleres fotográficos tanto de forma independiente como en colaboración con instituciones. Entre ellos, destacan Taller Luciérnagas en La Casa Encendida (Madrid) y Ni contigo ni sin mí, enfocado en la percepción de la identidad a través del autorretrato y la selfie.
